Greetings!
Two fun events are coming up, so it’s time to sign up if
you’d like to come π.
- CSA Culinary
Extravaganza - October Edition
Just got confirmation that Blind Bat Brewery Bistro in
Centerport will be hosting the October edition of our CSA Culinary Extravaganza
on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
We were going to do this back in June but weren’t able to
because of something going on with the folks at Blind Bat, so we’re doing it
now.
Blind Bat Brewery Bistro is the most organic and/or locally
sourced eatery in the Huntington area (grass fed beef, local and organic
produce, Beers made with NY State Hops and Grains and produce grown using
organic farming methods).
How it will work is that the owners/chefs will be making up
a special menu for us, will email everyone attending the menu, and you’ll email
me your orders. That way the kitchen staff (1 cook and 1 helper) won’t be
overly overwhelmed. Everyone will pay their own bill and there you go! If you
want to add to your order once you get there. If they can accommodate you, I’m
sure they will.
If you’d like to attend, respond to this email
with your name and the number of people attending, as the restaurant only holds
16 people (they’re doing this on a day when they’re closed so this is just for
us π) so at the moment there’s room for 13 left.
Families with children welcome! I’ve seen little ones
chowing down here, so don’t think it’s an adults only event π.

Have eaten a lot of this menu and it’s all good. All the
soups are very yummy. They normally only have their house made Pierogi’s on
Thursdays and Sundays but they’ll make them for us.

RSVP by sending an email to gtcsahuntington@gmail.com or leaving a phone message at 631-421-4864, and tell us your name and the total number of people coming with you (there’s only so much room in the wagon), and which tour time you’d like to attend. if you are sharing with someone, you need to use BOTH your name and the name of the CSA member you’re sharing with.
The only thing I didn’t care for on the menu (and have eaten
most of it π) was the Latkes (thought they were too
greasy), but it’s been a while so I might try them again to see if they’ve
gotten any better π.
Going so far…
